ESHTE strengthens internationalization at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow

Between September 8 and 11, 2026, ESHTE was present at the annual EAIE – European Association for International Education meeting, held in Glasgow, Scotland.

Considered one of the main international forums dedicated to the internationalization of higher education, the event brought together educational institutions from around the world, providing an important space for the creation of new contacts and the consolidation of existing partnerships.

ESHTE was represented by Teresa Costa and Cláudia Pena, who made contacts with European and international institutions, with a special focus on attracting international students, creating opportunities for international internships, and developing new cooperation initiatives.

Participation also allowed for the strengthening of existing Erasmus+ partnerships and progress in the negotiation and implementation of Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs), both as a participating and hosting institution. Among the areas with the greatest potential for cooperation, executive training, both in-person and online, and the promotion of Summer Courses also stand out.

The presence at EAIE 2026 thus reinforces ESHTE's commitment to internationalization and the creation of new opportunities for its academic community, strengthening the school's connection to higher education on a global level.
