ESHTE congratulates lecturer Jorge Umbelino on receiving the 2026 Fórum Turismo Award

The Estoril Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHTE) congratulates its lecturer Jorge  Umbelino, who has been honoured with the Fórum Turismo Award, as part of the 2026 edition of the Hospitality Education Awards.

Presented by the Fórum Turismo Association, this award recognises Jorge Umbelino’s contribution and distinguished career in the tourism sector, highlighting his work and dedication to an area that is fundamental to the development and strengthening of tourism in Portugal.

The official award ceremony took place on 29 September 2026, at Casa do Alentejo, in Lisbon, bringing together the winners of the various categories of the Hospitality Education Awards, an initiative that recognises merit, excellence and the contribution of professionals and institutions to tourism and hospitality education and the sector as a whole.

ESHTE is proud of this recognition, which is a source of great satisfaction for the entire academic community, and extends its warmest congratulations to Jorge Umbelino on this well-deserved distinction, which also brings honour to the School and its teaching staff.
