The Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Management (ESHTE) took part in the European Researchers’ Night, held on 25 September at the National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUNHAC), in Lisbon.
ESHTE’s participation was highlighted from the event's official opening, which was attended by the School’s President, demonstrating the institution’s commitment to promoting science, innovation, and the connection between higher education and society.
Throughout the event, ESHTE hosted a live cooking demonstration led by the School’s lecturers and students, offering the public a hands-on, engaging experience centred on gastronomy, technical knowledge, and innovation in the hospitality and tourism sectors. The activity showcased skills developed in an academic context, bringing participants closer to the work carried out at the institution daily.
In addition to the live cooking demonstration, ESHTE also organised entertainment activities, contributing to the dynamic and participatory atmosphere of the European Researchers’ Night. These activities engaged different audiences and highlighted the importance of interaction, communication, and experience in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
