Robotics in hospitality: will we be replaced by robots?

The seminar entitled "Robotics in hospitality: will robots replace us?" took place on February 21 in the Estoril Room, organized by the Association of Hotel Directors of Portugal (ADHP Júnior) in collaboration with the Estoril School of Hospitality (ESHTE). The event brought together professionals and experts to discuss the growing impact of robotic technology on the hotel scene.

The session began with welcoming remarks from Dr. Carlos Brandão, President of ESHTE, who emphasized the importance of the topic and the need to understand and adapt to technological changes in the sector. He stressed the importance of exploring the balance between automation and hospitality, emphasizing the fundamental role of human resources in the customer experience.

The highlight of the seminar was the round table "Hospitality in Hotels", where various professionals from the sector shared their perspectives and experiences on how robotics can impact the provision of services in hotels. Participants discussed issues related to operational efficiency, personalization of service and human employees' role in the automation age.
