The book Recipes of Kings and Fishermen, authored by Raquel Moreira and Cláudia Silva Mataloto, was mentioned in its English edition in the international magazine Forbes, on a list of proposals of gastronomy books of places as distant as Hawaii, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Oaxaca, Costa Rica, Italy, among others.
This book, published in 2017, resulted from a partnership between the Municipality of Cascais and the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril. It was coordinated by Prof. Raquel Moreira (ESHTE) and Cláudia Silva Mataloto (CMC and Cascais FoodLab). Chefs Gilberto Costa and António Pires, who coordinated the whole part of cooking and sweets, and students of the Degree in Food Production in Catering and of the Master in Innovation in Culinary Arts, of the Academic Year 2016-2017, participated also in this book which caught the attention of Forbes.
It is a cookbook, and also local history through recipes with history, waiting to be prepared and tasted.
