Gastronomic event with Foods from Extremadura

Last Tuesday, the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril (ESHTE), organized and hosted a special gastronomic event sponsored by the brand Extremadura Avante / Alimentos de Extremadura at the Descobertas Restaurant.
 
Prepared as part of application classes by undergraduate students in Food Production in Catering, under the guidance of chefs António Pires and Gilberto Costa, the lunch was created and prepared to pay homage to the traditional flavors of Alentejo cuisine.
 
This event provided a different experience, with students from the Hotel Administration and Management course, coordinated by Prof. Rodolfo Tristão, responsible for table service, offering guests exemplary service. The products used in the preparations, supplied by Alimentos de Extremadura, reflected the authenticity and quality of the region's agri-food production, promoted by the identity seal created by the Government of Extremadura to highlight its regional products.
 
Among the guests, several businesspeople from the agri-food sector from Portugal and Spain were present, as well as Alfredo Castro Blázquez and Fátima del Pino, representatives of Extremadura Avante, who reinforced ties between the Iberian regions and valued the integration of local products in new gastronomic contexts.
