On 20 October, at 7:30 p.m., the CIBT Amphitheatre will host #foodtalk56, dedicated to the theme ‘Grito no Prato: democracy and social awareness through food design’. The event is organised by the Master's in Innovation in Culinary Arts and Sciences (MIACC) and is open to the entire community.
‘Grito no Prato’ invites reflection on food as a visual and social language, transforming the act of eating into a powerful metaphor for the struggles that millions of people face daily — from inequality and poverty to food waste, hunger, pollution, war, and climate change.
Inspired by a performative gastronomic event, the presentation offers a sensory, immersive and provocative experience, where each dish is a narrative, combining texture, colour, shape and symbolism to express messages with a strong emotional and social impact.
In this food talk, the table is reinvented as a democratic space for dialogue, where emotions, memories and identities intersect, awakening new ways of seeing — and feeling — the world through food.
Come and participate, be inspired and discover how food design can give voice to causes that touch us all.
