On 29 February, a delegation led by the Presidents of the Federation of Commerce, Goods, Services and Tourism of Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, and Amapá, as well as some Directors of Senac RN, visited ESHTE's facilities, a visit marked by the exchange of experiences and the exploration of possible future collaborations between the institutions in the area of tourism and hospitality education. The visit was organized by ESHTE's Mobility and International Relations Office and the delegation was welcomed by ESHTE's President, Professor Carlos Brandão, and Vice-President, Professor João Reis.
The group was also joined by the Director of the Hotel-Escola Senac Barreira Roxa, located in the city of Natal (Rio Grande do Norte), the only hotel-school specializing in tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy in the North-Northeast of Brazil. Reopened in February 2019, its management is at the cutting edge and it is now a national benchmark in Sustainable Hospitality and the first hotel in Latin America to achieve ISO 21401:2020 certification, specifically for sustainability.
