
On April 4th, the ESHTE Master's in Tourism class had the privilege of attending another session with a guest speaker, this time in the presence of Dr. Sandra Santos, Customer Experience Officer at the Portuguese DMC VOQIN'.
VOQIN’, a company with vast international experience and multiple awards in the sector, was founded in Lisbon in 2002. Since then, it has stood out for its careful curation of destinations and the creation of memorable events. Currently with offices in Portugal and Spain, the company's purpose is to provoke significant emotions through experiences at events, whether in-person, digital, or hybrid. In his view, organizing an event goes far beyond simply transmitting a marketing message: it is about creating human connections and awakening feelings, both among members of the internal team and in the events developed for its clients.
Dr. Sandra Santos shared with us exactly that: the internal and external processes that ensure the success of an event – from the organizational culture and coordination with suppliers and partners to the relationship with the client, including risk assessment and management, supplier qualification and evaluation criteria, sustainability practices, and the current market demands for event organizers.
