ESHTE strengthens academic and scientific cooperation with Angola

Between August 25 and September 3, 2025, the President of ESHTE, Professor Carlos Brandão, and the Vice-President, Professor João Reis, traveled to Angola to establish contacts and partnerships with several educational institutions and research centers in the country. During the visit, several cooperation agreements were signed with local institutions in the areas of education and research.

The ESHTE delegation was also received by the Portuguese Ambassador to Angola, Dr. Francisco Alegre Duarte, who expressed his support for these academic and scientific cooperation initiatives. This mission resulted in important commitments, namely: ESHTE's participation in the implementation of higher education courses in Hospitality and Tourism; collaboration in research and development projects in the tourism and hospitality sector; and technical and scientific support for initiatives aimed at monitoring and promoting the sustainable development of the sector.

This trip reinforces ESHTE's role in international cooperation in the Portuguese-speaking world, contributing to the training of qualified professionals, academic and scientific exchange, and the sustainable development of tourism in Angola.
