On 4 March, the School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHTE) received a delegation from the Government of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, led by the Director of the National School of Hospitality and Tourism of Guinea-Bissau, Dr Fernando IÉ. During this meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed to establish a protocol whose main focus will be developing the future Bolama School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHTB) training offer. The government aims to boost Bolama's development by making it the country's academic capital. It plans to set up a university campus of excellence in Bolama and a polytechnic institute in Buba. This project will be realized by stimulating and advancing the digital economy, environmental sustainability, and tourism sectors, including the creative, cultural, and leisure industries.
