The Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHTE) celebrated its 34th anniversary with a diverse program that brought together the academic community, students, alumni, and external visitors. The date was marked by a series of institutional, cultural, and interaction activities, which were also integrated into the Open Day, an initiative that aims to showcase the school and its training offer.
The day began with facility tours and team games, providing participants with a hands-on perspective of the school’s academic life and infrastructure. This was followed by the welcome session, where the President of ESHTE welcomed everyone, and the coordinators presented the undergraduate courses. There was also space for presenting student support services, such as the Social Action Center and the Professional Insertion and Lifelong Training Office.
As part of the Mental Health Promotion Program in Higher Education, promoted by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES), the seminar “Promoting the expansion of professional horizons” took place, followed by a motivational workshop linked to sports practice. These actions highlighted the importance of well-being and mental health in students’ academic journey.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the presentation of Merit Awards to 1st year students, within the scope of the STEP+ program (Student Transition & Engagement Program+), as well as the presentation of Course Letters to graduates, recognizing the effort and dedication of students throughout their studies.
During the afternoon, the ESHTEscape event challenged participants with group dynamics and interactive activities, promoting team spirit and interaction among students. The celebrations ended with the awarding of the ESHTEscape Challenge, followed by the traditional congratulations to ESHTE and a presentation by Tunística, the school's academic group, in a moment of joy and unity.
