ESHTE has a project approved by FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology

The SHIFT Project – Sustainability-oriented, Highly-interactive and Innovation-based Framework for Tourism Marketing was approved by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). SHIFT is a co-promotion between ESHTE and the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, with the participation of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisboa and the University of Algarve, which will be lodged on CiTUR – Centre for Tourism Research, Development and Innovation. The project will start in 2022, has a duration of 3 years, and funding of close to 250,000 Euros. FCT’s R&D call is a very competitive one with very low approval rates. The SHIFT project was ranked 3rd among the 132 applications submitted in ​​Economics and Management, with only seven projects in this area being approved for funding. On the part of ESHTE, the project’s team includes professors/researchers Maria de Lurdes Calisto and Nuno Gustavo.
