ESHTE and AGIC celebrate World Interpreter Guide Day | 23 February

On 21 February, the World Tour Guide Association (WFTGA) officially celebrates World Interpreter Guide Day, this year with the theme Rething Tourism: Regenerating our profession.

This year's event is being organised through a partnership between the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (ESHTE) and the Association of Tour Guide Interpreters (AGIC). As 21 February is a Carnival holiday, the celebration will take place on 23 February in the ESHTE auditorium in Estoril.

Tourism professionals linked to the various branches of the sector - hotels, restaurants, DMCs and tour drivers - will exchange ideas from an intersectoral and intergenerational perspective. Round tables will be held to gather facts and opinions on how best to regenerate the interpreter-guide profession.
