VIRTUAL MUSEUM OF TOURISM (MUVITUR)

The Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism has launched the "Virtual Museum of Tourism - MUVITUR" project. It aims to collect, organise, exhibit and make available on the internet objects, documents and memories related to tourism and hospitality. Its main objectives are education and recreation, as well as supporting teaching and national and international scientific research.

MUVITUR will be a centre for innovation, in which institutions or personalities with activities linked to tourism and hospitality join forces, collecting and transferring objects, images, products, memorabilia and experiences related to the history of tourism and hospitality.

The MUVITUR Documentation Centre has several thousand documents of various types: leaflets, brochures, posters, illustrated postcards, transport tickets, menus, toys, among others, and is ready to receive any other type of document or object.

The MUVITUR collections, true testimonies to the history of tourism in Portugal, will guarantee the memory of one of the country's most important economic activities.
