Objectives 

 

This course, of an executive nature, aims to develop skills in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Business Management in Tourism and Hospitality. The course is an Advanced Program in T&H aimed at both entrepreneurs and professionals with relevant experience who wish to develop know-how in the area of ​​management in the context of T&H.

 

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

 

- Identify new opportunities for business in T&H;

 

- Develop innovative business models, adapted to the specificities of T&H;

 

- Apply tools and models that enable the sustained growth of companies of T&H;

 

 

Target-Audience

 

The following may apply for the course:

 

- Graduates or holders of relevant professional experience who wish to develop knowledge and skills in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Tourism Business Management.

 

 

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

 

- Entrepreneur, in any sector of T&H activity, namely accommodation, restaurants, tourist entertainment, and travel agencies, among other activities;

- Director of T&H companies, in areas such as Marketing, Financial Management, and People Management, among others;

- Intermediate management of T&H companies, in areas such as Marketing, Financial Management, and People Management, among others;

- Middle and senior management of public and associative bodies related to T&H

- Consultant in management of T&H companies;

The course runs on Friday from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm – Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm

The results of the applications will be published according to the deadlines established in the application notice for each round, on the ESHTE website, in the tab dedicated to the course to which you are applying.

Application process: 

 

To complete the application process, which takes place exclusively online, the candidate must access the Applications Portal. It is necessary to access the Guide for Applicants and follow precisely the examples provided (documents can only be up to 1MB).

 

Application fee | 75 €

 

The application fee will only be returned if the course does not open. For this purpose, the candidate must keep the respective receipt. Applications will only be considered valid if payment is made within the deadline.

 

Errors or omissions made in filling in the online application form or the application process’s instructions are the sole responsibility of the candidate.

  • Letter of motivation with a maximum of 500 words (mandatory)
  • Letter of recommendation (optional).

 

Holders of a foreign higher education degree must present the certificate/diploma with the Hague apostille.

Ranking criteria

 

 The ranking criteria will only be applied if the number of candidates exceeds the defined numerus clausus.

 

Applications will be evaluated by the Scientific and Executive Committee of the Master’s in Innovation in Culinary Arts, which will decide on each interested party's situation, defining the corresponding credits and study plans.

 

On the other hand, candidates will be selected by the Scientific and Executive Committee of the  Master’s in Innovation in Culinary Arts, based on the following criteria:

 

I)Curriculum vitæ and/or portfolio of the candidate, namely academic, scientific, and technical;

 

II) Letter of motivation with the statement of objectives;

 

III) Result of individual interview,  when this is considered necessary by the Coordination of the Postgraduate Course in Entrepreneurship and Business Management in Tourism and Hospitality.

 

Preference will be given to former students of undergraduate and Postgraduate, Advanced Training (or equivalent) courses at ESHTE and executives from companies or public bodies with more than two years of professional experience, up to a limit of 30% available places.
