Visit to the Carcavelos Wine Cellar

The 2nd year students of the Food Production in Catering (PAR) degree, accompanied by lecturers Antonio Pires and Gilberto Costa, went on a field trip to the vineyards and wine cellar of Carcavelos!

Having architect Alexandre Lisboa as their host was an excellent opportunity, especially as he is the Technical Coordinator of the Carcavelos Vineyard and Wine Project. The students had the opportunity not only to learn about the wine production process but also about the history and tradition behind this particular variety.

These visits are fundamental to complementing the knowledge gained in the classroom, giving students a deeper and more tangible understanding of the subjects studied.
