ESHTE signs funding programme contract

The President of the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies, Professor Carlos Brandão, has signed a program contract to fund and support the indefinite hiring of doctoral graduates for scientific research careers. This step is fundamental to promoting scientific research and the development of talent in this area.

These contracts will make it possible to realize a funding line of 20 million euros, as provided for in Article 137 of the State Budget for 2024, a crucial investment to boost quality in research and guarantee adequate resources for the professionals who contribute to the advancement of knowledge.

The signing ceremony, hosted by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Professor Elvira Fortunato, took place last Monday 25 March in the Senate Room of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra.
