Caixa Mais Mundos Awards

Caixa Geral de Depósitos S.A., within the scope of its Sustainability strategy, has the Caixa Social Program as one of its areas of intervention. One of the strategic pillars of this Program is support for Education, focused on supporting Higher Education, contributing to the construction of a more just and supportive society, which is sustainable, offering everyone equal opportunities and preparing the citizens of the future.
In this context, CGD created the Caixa Mais Mundo awards, which aim to expand access to opportunities for all young people who wish to study in Higher Education, valuing the academic merit of students who have completed secondary education and encouraging the continuation of studies in Institutions of Higher Education. Thus, CGD once again distinguished the best Portuguese students, admitted through the National Access Competition (CNA), who enrolled in public Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), registered with CGD, according to the following categories:

-Academic Merit Awards for students with Portuguese nationality placed and enrolled in degree courses;
-Merit Awards for students on Professional Courses: students with Portuguese nationality who complete professional secondary education courses with the best results in the previous academic year
-Scholarships for students with Portuguese nationality placed and enrolled in undergraduate courses in the 2023/2024 academic year, with economic difficulties in ensuring their regular attendance at higher education (beneficiaries of social action scholarships).


In this sense, in accordance with the criteria contained in Article 1 of the Regulation, CGD individually distinguished 8 ESHTE students with Merit Awards:

-4 students placed through the national competition for access to higher education (CNA) – unit value of €1000
-2 students from Professional Courses - unit value of €1,000
-2 students in need - unit value of €1500.
