2020 International Tourist Guide Day
On the 18th February the ephemeris was celebrated at ESHTE a few days prior to the official day, through a seminar entitled Portuguese Santiago Trails: Promotion & Guided Tours. The invited speakers were Catherine Freitas (Try Portugal / Entidade Regional de Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo) and Carla Braga (Tourist Guide/Tour Manager and ESHTE’s teacher), who shared their experience with the Tourism Information (TI) students.
The event was chaired by Vítor Ambrósio (a Religious Tourism specialist) and was attended by AGIC’s and SNATTI’s representatives (on behalf of the Portuguese certified professionals), besides other members of the tourist and academic communities.
On the 21st February (International Tourist Guide Day), the director of the Tourism Information course was invited as keynote speaker at SNATTI’s celebration in Oporto, while teacher Carla Braga joined AGIC’s members in Algarve to attend AGIGARVE’s (Associação de Guias-Intérpretes do Algarve) creation.
