Objectives

Contribute to the training of human resources that can respond to the new challenges and requirements that tourism faces. Competences in the areas of design, planning and management of tourism destinations and products are particularly relevant, namely in the areas of nature and adventure tourism, rural tourism and creative tourism in urban areas.

 

Skills

Tourism is a dynamic sector that requires highly trained professionals who conceive, plan and manage tourism products and activities, namely in the areas of nature and adventure tourism, rural tourism and creative tourism in urban areas.

Through a holistic approach and strategic prospective vision, this programme aims at preparing and enabling highly qualified professionals to keep up with the external and internal demands of the sector, to be entrepreneurs and to maintain quality and innovation in tourism products and business management and models. This programme has a strong practical component that brings together theoretical and methodological knowledge with know-how in implementing nature, active, and creative tourism products.

 

Curriculum

This programme corresponds to 120 ECTS, with mandatory and optional units. Students who successfully complete the 120 ECTS of the programme are awarded with a Masters Degree diploma, while students who successfully complete the first year of the programme (60 ECTS) are awarded with a postgraduate certificate.
